The Country Club of Naples has maintained a rich tradition in private, high quality golf since 1966. In fact, CCN is the oldest private full service country club in Naples. A strong commitment to quality conditioning and members' satisfaction led the Club to undergo a multi-million dollar renovation during the summer of 2009 when the entire golf course was rebuilt.
Golf course architect Gordon Lewis was hired to layout the master plans for the modernization of the classic "ground game" golf course, originally designed by famed mid-west designer Bill Diddel, with an emphasis on drainage and landscaping while maintaining the character of the course.
The reconstruction of the golf course turned out to exceed everyone's expectations! Not only did Gordon Lewis improve the infrastructure of the course, he delighted the players' senses with beautifully crafted vistas and magnificently orchestrated landscaping, all the while maintaining the generous landing areas and challenge of the course. A wonderful new addition to the course is a set of forward tees constructed for juniors and seniors alike. Now the course can accommodate both the new player and the seasoned player, whether they like to walk or take a cart.
The Country Club of Naples was the proud host of the 2012 Local Qualifying round for the 112th United States Open Championship conducted by the United States Golf Association. the 18-hole qualifier was held on May 15, 2012. Tom Stankowski was the medalist with a 5 under 67.
The course received rave reviews from the players and the USGA officials and the members had a great time watching the scores come in from 67 to 96.
CCN was also the proud host of the FSGA Junior Qualifier in 2011 and 2012.
