I initially listed all courses in a grid from Immokalee to Golden Gate, and Livingston to the gulf. Based on information available on their web sites, I short listed my search to six courses. I had lengthy discussions with the management at all six and played four. I rated the courses on course quality, practice facilities, compatibility of membership, dining and social. A good example is the $2.1 million renovation of our golf course in 2009. Through the use of reserves and a very modest capital dues program we have already paid down 50% of the project cost in one year. This project was overwhelmingly supported by our members and they love the result."
